So Moolgy had been telling me about this open faced sandwich joint that she liked alot and that it wasn’t that expensive. I mean inexpensive and good is always a 100% go for me. WOOT! so our first breakfast place would be this nice Cafe…that’s actually been around since 1618….nutz right?

We went in and got an assortment of these bad boys. I was kinda uneasy about finding out that they were basically vegan.

curry with chives…this was actually really good.

a chunk of mandarin orange on top with some corn moosh as i call it. it was pretty good. but not my favorite.

this was pureed mushrooms…i thought this was ok, i think it needed more of that red sauce that was drizzled on it.

now this one, was like a green cream cheese, topped with pumpkin seed oil. This was by far my favorite and REALLY GOOD. It made me want to hunt down pumpkin seed oil and put it on everything.

Moolgy was craving sweets for breakfast so she also got a tiramisu piece. This was really good…again no flavor overpowering the other, instead they worked well to bring you up the hill, and lull you back down. It was quite enjoyable…i amost went for a second bite, but then Moolgy put the whole thing in her mouth….

Summation: thinking about it more, at a euro a piece, these open faced sandwiches weren’t that cheap…nor was the tiramisu…but alot of work went into them…so maybe it balances out? I generally liked the food and the atmosphere of sitting outside and enjoying the nice morning sun and air as people walked on by. In the end i discovered pumpkin seed oil, AMAZING expresso….and was quite relaxed…i was eager to check out the other places my doung seng wanted to take me too…WOOT!
