Horrible Ramen @ Tokori Sushi
TOKO RI – Naschmarkt

So Moolgy had mentioned that she had been craving for Japanese ramen, and while we were walking through the market, i had noticed this place…and we took a gander at the menu on the off chance that it’d have ramen…as her appetite for ramen had infected me….and i wanted ramen too. Speisekarte (menu): - click for larger menu, but only if you read German - Nahrung (sustenance): Mineral water that they served us as we eagerly awaited our seafood ramen…
We only got one bowl cause it wasn’t that far from breakfast and we had somewhere else she wanted to take me to lunch. The Ramen took a little time but then came.
You’ll see it and go wow, it looks pretty….but it didn’t smell so good.
Even the broth you can see is a little thickened…by the starch coming off of the noodles.
And voila….as you can see this is not Japanese ramen…instead its instant noodle ramen…
Summation: Ok, reading other reviews, i found out that the sashimi and raw fish is supposedly really good…. However, their ramen is absolutely horrible…now i know that Vienna is land locked so i didn’t expect much on the seafood side…but the seafood was actually really really bad…the broth and veggies were utterly disgusting…I do not recommend this place for Japanese Ramen…though i am intrigued to try the sashimi/sushi options….bleah, just thinking about that seafood ramen makes me gag….

Instant noodles in a restaurant? Ugh…
That looks freaking disgusting. An absolute insult to Japanese cuisine.
Just out of curiosity, what ethnicity were the servers/owners/cooks? From my own experience of dining everywhere, I find that Japanese and Korean people make the best sushi, while Vietnamese make the worst.
@Joanna_said_SO - thanks! I’m actually from NYC. Was visiting my god sis in Vienna while she was studying abroad.
