So Moolgy had been telling me about this place in Vienna that she was getting ‘American Breakfast’ at…and i was thinking, I was in Vienna, why the heck would i want ‘American Breakfast’ until she explained it to me that it was Vienna’s rendition of the American Breakfast…well i was all up for that then…its a really setup with nice outdoor seating in front. Umgebung (environment): Call salt and pepper grinders by peugeot (car makers) and really nice decor inside. What was even cooler is supposedly at night this place turns to a really hip happening bar/lounge…and from the inner design you can tell it definitely was…and to think you have to book quite far in advance to get a table for breakfast here on the weekends…luckily we would partake in this place on a weekday. woot woot! Speisekarte (menu): - Click for bigger menu, its in German though - Nahrung (sustenance):
Lassi: a nice yogurt drink….again everyone seems to be trying to get me to drink pink drinks….but admittedly, these yogurt drinks were really good. €3.30 each ($4.29 USD)
Woo hoo our American Breakfast came pretty quick! woot woot!
Beef tatare: raw beef with toast with some pepper salt on the side with onions and cucumbers. €4.50 ($5.85)
it smelt like the tatare funk that normally smells like.
Presentation and garnish was nice. now it was time to put it all on a slice of toast and live dangerously with some salt and pepper.. but after the first bite, i knew something was missing…which was the onions i had forgotten…and then with another chomp…it felt complete….mmmm soooo goooooood.
Frühstück.basis (our breakfast boxes): these were the main entrees for our breakfast…and they came with alot of shtuff…this was really good. €4.50 ($5.85 USD)
This took me by total surprise, but this was the best croissant i’ve ever had in my life. The texture, the buttery flavor, not overly powering yet not a weak sauce combination…and when you add the home made marmalade or the butter or even the creamy cream cheese they had…it was just like a slice of heaven…then you find out that the croissant’s ancestral origin is from Austrian roots….now what are the odds of that???
eierspeise.trü (scrambled eggs with baby chives and truffle oil): this was really good, and in the end Moolgy and I fought for the last bite. lol. €3.50 ($4.55 USD)
The fruits that came with the amazing ensemble were really fresh…heheh fuzzy kiwi makes me think dirty thoughts. *whistles innocently.
Summation: Everything was amazingly good and fresh. (i didn’t care much for the brownie though) and we also got coffee afterwards that was really really good. I do recommend this place if you are having american breakfast cravings…i mean the croissant alone earns this place a second visit. And i definitely look forward to try this place to check out its night life. *grin. CHEERS!!! Totaly cost with coffees €29.20 ($37.96 USD)
