So Moolgy was eager to take me to her favorite Wiener Schnitzel place in Vienna. And i was mos def interested in trying the best Wiener Schnitzel she had to throw at me. There was alot of construction outside, so it wasn’t much to look at. Oddly enough, Moolgy had actually been here three years ago in 06 with her mum and pops…
i had gotten a Schartner BOMBE…which wasn’t really that good to me…so Moolgy happily traded her 1/4 apfelsaft gespritzt…WOOT!
Gulaschsuppe: oh man, this was soooo good…even though it was warm outside, this soup really hit the spot and made a great precursor to the great meal ahead. the potatoes and meats were perfectly cooked, and uber delicious. Not over acidic, nor oily…just right for this old man’s palate. €5.30 ($6.89 USD)
Then came my wonderful Wiener Schnitzel: Veal hammered flat and breaded with an amazing breading concoction. This was the best Wiener Schnitzel i had in Vienna, ridiculously juicy and flavorful, crispy hot crust and welcoming veal. I even tried a portion with the lemon…this was just simply amazing. €13.90 ($18.07 USD)
Salonbeuschel with Serviettenknödel: chopped up roasted liver with slow roasted onions and bread dumpling. €9.90 ($12.87 USD)
the bread dumplings were quite interesting, just sitting there in the sweetbread mix.

Twas a great meal!
Summation: And a nice cup of joe always ends a great meal perfectly. Definitely hands down the best Wiener Schnitzel i’ve ever had. This is a MUST GO if you ever plan on visiting Vienna! CHEERS!

looks SO FREAKING GOOD. wow….
I am sooo therre.
That veal looks really delicious. I’d love to visit that part of Europe one day, but alas so far I’ve only been to London and Dublin.
*apfelsaft gespritzt, not obi.
Mr. Obi Wan Kenobi?
Hehe just kidding. It’s just carbonated apple juice.
and here I always thought a Weiner Schnitzel was a hot dog. Because of the American chain. Thanks for educating me.
