So Polarbear was in town (with schoolfriend Norman) and Lucky had told her about this place in flushing that supposedly now has the best spicy fish in all of flushing. We were eager to try it, though it was pretty late when Polarbear got into the city, but that didn’t stop us.

boiled peanuts as appetizers. yum! Polarbear ate them all. (but it’s cool, i prefer the dried salty ones that taiwanese joints usually serve. woot. )

Shredded Beef with Spicy Green Peppers: The beef in this was really juicy and very good, however, i felt the flavor of the peppers kind of threw this dish off…and i ended up eating just the beef and not the peppers. $12.95

Salt Pepper Eel: nice crunchy hot texture. the heat added a tiny bite to it, it was good, but i’ve had better. won’t be eating this here again, though i feel the flavor and rendering would have been perfect for squid…too bad they don’t serve squid. $14.95

Lamb with Cumin Flavor: I felt this was probably the best dish we had. The lamb was rich with flavor, really juicy, and the spiciness was just right. $12.95

Fish Filet with Hot Chili Pepper: the fish was good, we ordered it without bones, and it was very flavorful. the pieces of fish were on the smaller side, and the bite was only ok. Still not really comparable to Little Pepper or Joe’s in MD. $12.95

Summation: Majority of the food was good, and very well cooked. Nothing was overcooked or under cooked, all food was served hot temperature wise (and spicy wise, yum!).

was a tad disappointed that there was no spicy wontons, as i love getting that at sichuan joints.

Though admittedly the spicy fish here makes me long to go back to Maryland to eat at Joe’s again for their spicy fish and their spicy wontons…droooool….

I am definitely looking forward to trying more dishes at this joint.

    CHEERS!!!
